16:40 (IST) Feb 24

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 2: Stumps

What a day for England! They dismissed seven of India's batters and broke the back of their batting line-up after scoring runs quickly in the morning session Outstanding day for them. Shoaib Bashir, the star for England with four wickets. From India's point of view, lots of hardwork to be done. Dhruv Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav's 42-run partnership for the eighth wicket has kept them alive in the game. India finishes the day on 219/7. Alright, thanks for joining in today. Will see you tomorrow morning with more action. Till then, Goodbye!

16:33 (IST) Feb 24

Last Over of Day

Okay so, here we are last over of the day. India are 219/7. Jurel will be on strike and Hartley to bowl. Can India survive this final over?

16:16 (IST) Feb 24

Anderson back into the attack!

6 overs remaining in the day and James Anderson has been handed over the ball. He can bowl a maximum of three overs today. Will be interesting to see if he can create something here. India: 213/7

15:58 (IST) Feb 24

200 up for India!

Some resurgence from Jurel and Kuldeep, helps India get past the 200-run mark but need some more on the board to compete. Even 200 were looking difficult at one stage though. Jurel needs to bat well. Meanwhile, Bashir has been bowling continuously since lunch. India: 200/7

15:48 (IST) Feb 24

Jurel continues his attack

Dhruv Jurel is no mood to give up easily. He continues his attack, smashing Bashir down the ground for six. That's a very good shot. Wonderfully played that. India need more of these and more importantly, need Jurel to stay at the crease by the end of the day. He's batting on 19 at the moment. India: 191/7

15:36 (IST) Feb 24

And Another One!

The story continues for India. They are having quite a difficult day today. Ravichandran Ashwin is the new victim. He falls to Hartley. Reviews it but to no respite. Walks back to pavilion. He goes for 1 and India falling short of batters now. India: 177/7

image-lszy7681Hartley bagged Ashwin's wicket (Source: AP Photo)

15:23 (IST) Feb 24

Sarfaraz Gone Too!

India's problems just seem to grow now. They can't get out of jail. Batting is getting tougher and tougher. Hartley gets the wicket and excellent catch from Joe Root at slip. Sarfaraz gets on the front foot looking to push away from the body. Kisses the outside edge and is taken by Root diving to his left in the slip cordon. India: 171/6

15:02 (IST) Feb 24

India in trouble now! Jaiswal Cleaned Up!

Yashasvi Jaiswal's innings is over. It's Bashir Again. He's wreaking Havoc on the Indian batting line-up. Trouble continues to build up. And Jaiswal, the main man, can't face Bashir's challenge. He has done him with a beauty. Wonderfully bowled. India: 161/5

image-lszwr2k8Yashasvi Jaiswal gets cleaned up by Bashir (Source: AP Photo)

14:53 (IST) Feb 24

150 up for India

Another boundary for Jaiswal against Bashir and 150 comes up for India. Excellent shot and wonderful batting. India need these two to bat till the end of the day. And if they do expect a good total from the home side. India: 150/4

14:50 (IST) Feb 24

Jaiswal Finds Two Boundaries Against Bashir

He's finding back his momentum now, Jaiswal. Two good shots to find two boundaries for India against Shoaib Bashir. The scoreboard needs that to be in India's favour. Run-scoring isn't easy but he isn't ready to give up. India: 146/4

14:41 (IST) Feb 24

Another Run-out Appeal!

Pretty closer than the last one. Extremely close in fact. Sent Upstairs. Sarfaraz gives desperate dive and is saved by a few inches with bat just inside the crease on time. He dives full-length and just manages to get in. Manages to just ground his bat beyond the crease and NOT OUT comes up on the big screen.

14:39 (IST) Feb 24

Run-Out Appeal

Check for run-out but Sarfaraz is safely in. Foakes throws his glove and runs to pick up the ball. Hits the middle stump at the non striker's end. Dharmasena sends this upstairs. Replay confirms Sarfaraz has dragged the bat back inside the crease in time. NOT OUT loads on the screen.

14:34 (IST) Feb 24

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, 2nd Day: Play Resumes After Tea

Alright, we're resuming play after tea. India will have to restart all over again. Yashasvi and Sarfaraz back at crease for the home side. Bashir will continue.

14:15 (IST) Feb 24

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, 2nd Day: Tea

India are under pressure now all of a sudden with three wickets coming from Shoaib Bashir. That's bit of trouble for the home side who were poised nicely at one stage. They would want to come back with better plans. Yashasvi is still there with Sarfaraz Khan at crease. Stay Tuned! We'll be back soon! India:131/4

14:11 (IST) Feb 24

Bashir on Fire

He gets Jadeja! Wow! That's a huge moment in the game. India are in trouble now surely. Jadeja is caught at forward short leg off Shoaib Bashir. He is having a day out here in Ranchi. Impressive spell. Gets his third. India: 130/4

14:09 (IST) Feb 24

Jadeja responds to Hartley

That's two sixes in two balls for Jadeja against Tom Hartley. Comes down the track and does the business as usual. They needed this to get going and Jadeja does with his class. India: 129/3

14:01 (IST) Feb 24

England Review

That was hitting the pads of Ravindra Jadeja against Tom Hartley which went away for four leg-byes. England reviews but the impact shows to be umpire's call and ball missing the stumps. Jadeja gets saved.

13:53 (IST) Feb 24

Patidar back in the hut

Bashir gets another one as Rajat Patidar has to walk back to pavilion for the score of 17. Found infront of stumps and went for review. No luck again for Indians as the ball found clipping the leg-stump. India in a bit of a trouble now. Ravindra Jadeja is in next. India: 112/3

13:50 (IST) Feb 24

Jaiswal Continues To Impress

He has come good again for India and the youngster has smashed another half-century plus score against England. He has been the torchbearer and backbone of the side in this series. Five fours and a six in this innings so far. His 3rd Fifty in Tests to go along with 3 hundreds that includes 2 double-hundreds. India: 105/2

13:35 (IST) Feb 24

100 on the board for India!

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rajat Patidar have taken India to the 100-run landmark. Jaiswal is the main contributor though with 48 to his name. Patidar, on the other end, looks solid with the bat. India: 103/2

13:11 (IST) Feb 24

Gill Walks Back For 38

Shubman Gill was found in front of the stumps while facing England's offspinner Shoaib Bashir who then alongside the entire side appealed for LBW which was given straight away by the umpire. Gill reviewed but to no use as the impact was umpire's call and rest were hitting the stumps with no edge from the bat. He's back in the hut for 38. India: 86/2

13:06 (IST) Feb 24

Gill Takes On Robinson

Shubman Gill found two boundaries against Ollie Robinson after one turned out to be a no-ball. He's continuing to build on an innings here with Yashasvi Jaiswal as the duo look set and comfortable against the English bowlers. India: 84/1

12:51 (IST) Feb 24

Jaiswal Survives!

This was edged by Jaiswal and ball went to keeper Ben Foakes who claimed it as a catch alongside the entire English side. The decision was sent upstairs and it was then confirmed that the ball bounced just before the keeper's gloves. It comes as Not-Out and what is surprising is that the Ben Stokes and the English side were celebrating quite aggressively after seeing the replay as if they were convinced. However, the verdict which went against them shook them with sudden disappointment.

12:46 (IST) Feb 24

Anderson Getting Some Reverse

Okay, so there are some dark clouds hovering over the stadium in Ranchi, and the ball has started to reverse for the great Jimmy Anderson. He's getting the ball to come back on different occasions, but Shubman Gill still found two boundaries off his over. That's good batting and bowling. India: 57/1

12:27 (IST) Feb 24

Jaiswal keeps the Scorecard ticking

He's continuing to impress with his resilience and patience against Anderson who did bowl well in the initial spell. Currently, he's on 34 with Gill on the score of 11. Gill, meanwhile, has been supporting him well by staying on the crease and rotating the strike. India: 48/1

image-lszsl33zGill & Jaiswal batted well for second wicket (Source: AP Photo)

12:14 (IST) Feb 24

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 2: Second Session Begins

All right. We're back for the second session of the day two between India and England in Ranchi. Shoaib Bashir to start off with Shubman Gill on strike and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the other end. Here we go.

11:29 (IST) Feb 24

Jaiswal And Gill Steady The Ship Before Lunch

The young duo takes the responsibility and provides India a good half an hour. They take India to lunch with 34 on the board with the loss of one wicket as they found occasional boundaries. Run-scoring has been good with a rate of 3.4 runs an over. They have done well and will need to stay at the crease until the next session atleast to ensure a decent total. India: 34/1

10:59 (IST) Feb 24

Anderson Finds Rohit's Edge!

Horrible start this for India! Skipper Rohit Sharma departs for 2 after nicking one to keeper Ben Foakes off the goat Anderson. That is a perfect delivery. Perfect length and perfect line! India: 4/1

image-lszoxwncAnderson gets prized wicket of Rohit Sharma (Source: AP Photo)

10:48 (IST) Feb 24

Second Session Begins!

Okay! Here we go! Yashasvi Jaiswal up against Jimmy Anderson while skipper Rohit Sharma will be at the other end. Remember, India are behind by 353! That's a good total on this wicket. Let's see how it goes.

10:36 (IST) Feb 24

England ALL-OUT for 353!

Gone! Jimmy Anderson is gone too! Jadeja traps him in front of the stumps, who was trying playing a lap sweep. Given out on field and goes for the review straightway. The replays are in and there is not bat involved. The ball tracking is up and it's three reds. Good decision from Dharmasena and England have been knocked over on 353. Joe Root has been left stranded at the other end on 122* without a partner! Good comeback this from India. We'll be back for the second innings in a while.

image-lszmpvahJadeja took all the three wickets in the morning session (Source: AP Photo)

10:33 (IST) Feb 24

Drinks!

That's first hour of play done! England were cruising at one stage but two wickets just before drinks have given India a chance to bowl them out quickly.

10:29 (IST) Feb 24

Shoaib Bashir Comes & Goes!

Bashir doesn't last more than two deliveries as he gets dismissed in the same over against Jadeja. Plays a wild heave only to be caught at backward point. England lose two in quick succession. India will try getting Jimmy Anderson out now. England: 349/9

10:24 (IST) Feb 24

10:19 (IST) Feb 24

Robison finally departs!

Ollie Robinson tries reversing against Ravindra Jadeja, manages to get a faint edge as Dharmasena raises the finger. Robinson goes up only to be turned down with ball touching his gloves as he walks back after a fine show. England: 347/8

10:18 (IST) Feb 24

A close call for catch but falls short

Outside edge and doesn't carry to Rohit. He isn't sure and asks the on-field umpires to send it upstairs. This was a flighted delivery from Kuldeep that drifts away from Root who looks to defend it but gets an outside edge. It goes low to Rohit who dives to his right but takes it on a bounce. The third umpire is having a look at it. The replays are in and it has clearly bounced before settling in the hands of Rohit. NOT OUT is displayed on the big screen.

10:08 (IST) Feb 24

100 Partnership Between Root & Robinson

These two have been dominant right from the start. What a partnership this has been for England. They have set the platform now for the big total. Robinson the main contributor with bat in this partnership. India will have to break this stand now. England: 345/7

9:50 (IST) Feb 24

Robinson gets to his Half-Century

Ollie Robinson smashes debutant Akash Deep for three boundaries in the over. He is set. He is going to go big now every over. Runs coming freely for England. Meanwhile, gets to his half-century in style by taking Jadeja to boundary as well. England: 331/7

9:44 (IST) Feb 24

Siraj doing things with the ball

Siraj tried bouncing out Robinson here with a short delivery in the third over of the day but instead, the ball bounced too much for keeper Jurel to catch up with it and goes for four byes. Next delivery, he finds Robinson's pads only for the appeal to be turned down. Also, there was an inside edge which made it the right decision.

9:33 (IST) Feb 24

Second New Ball Taken After Boundary

Robinson finds boundary on the very first ball of the day. That's how England are going to play today. Every run is crucial for them at this stage. Anyway, India have taken the new ball after just second delivery. Will be interesting to see how this pans out now.

9:30 (IST) Feb 24

Play Resumes on Day 2

Alright, players and umpires coming out in the centre. This is going to be fascinating day of Test cricket I reckon. Mohammed Siraj to start the day with the ball against Ollie Robinson with Joe Root at the other end. Here we go!

9:21 (IST) Feb 24

IND Vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 2 Live Score

Hello and Good Morning from Ranchi for the Day 2 of the Fourth Test between India and England. Yesterday could have been India's but Joe Root's magnificent ton took the honours on a thrilling first day of proper Test cricket. Today, we will hope that both sides continue to play some good cricket. We're few minutes away from the first ball. Stay Here!

16:32 (IST) Feb 23

IND Vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 1 Stumps, England 302/7

That's it. That's the end of play for today. India dominated the first session with five wickets, however, Joe Root and Ben Foakes took the responsibility to provide England with a wicketless second session while forming a 113-run partnership. Root, meanwhile, continued to bat till the end and stayed not out by the end of the day smashing his 31st Test century under pressure. England's day ended on 302 with seven wickets down as they will hope to return back tomorrow and continue the momentum. Meanwhile, India will want to collect themselves and come back in the morning fresh and rejuvenated. For now, It's Stumps! We'll see you tomorrow. Until then, Goodbye!

16:27 (IST) Feb 23

Final Over of the Day!

Okay then, 3.5 minutes left and we're all set to begin the final over of the day. Guess who's bowling? It's Yashasvi Jaiswal! Can he get a breakthrough?

16:05 (IST) Feb 23

Century for Joe Root!

Root's fight for survival has taken him to his first ton on this tour and what an innings this has been. 31st of his Test career and 10th against India. Cometh the hour and cometh the man. Superstar Root! He has stood the test of time in Indian conditions when they needed it the most. Gets there with a four through covers. England: 279/7

15:55 (IST) Feb 23

Robinson Survives!

Ollie Robinson is forward to defend it but gets beaten on the outside edge. It clips his front pad and it misses the off-stump by a whisker and hits Jurel on the right leg. Jadeja and Jurel appeal for LBW but Kumar Dharmasena turns it down. Replays show no inside-edge and India couldn't review because they didn't have any left.

15:50 (IST) Feb 23

Second New Ball Available

The new ball is available but India have chosen not to take it just now. Maybe they are expecting the old ball to do something.

15:25 (IST) Feb 23

Siraj has Bowled Him! Beautiful!

Ohhh!!! That's a delivery to remember! Mohammed Siraj has knocked over Tom Hartley this time. Too good of a delivery. Comes a bit wider of the crease and angles this length delivery on the stumps. Gets a hint of reverse away from Hartley who is squared up while defending it. He gets beaten on the outside edge and the ball hits the top of the off-stump. England: 245/7

15:13 (IST) Feb 23

Decision Overturned!

Tom Hartley survives! That was given out by umpire Dharmasena but he reviewed it straightaway. Good delivery by Ashwin which was slider that looked like coming in to the left-hander. However, an inside-edge just cleared the matter on this occasion. Interestingly, he smashed Ashwin for a six on the last delivery. England: 240/6

15:09 (IST) Feb 23

Can You Guess Ravichandran Ashwin's Test Wickets In India?

14:51 (IST) Feb 23

Siraj Gets The Breakthrough

Mohammed Siraj delivers again as he gets the much needed wicket of Ben Foakes who was caught at mid-wicket by Jadeja. This is what India were after. 113-run stand broken and that pulls the home side back in the game. Foakes is gone for 47 after his wonderful innings. England: 225/6

14:44 (IST) Feb 23

100 Partnership Between Root & Foakes!

That is some way to get to the 100-run partnership between Joe Root and Ben Foakes as the latter smashes Ashwin for six to get to the landmark. This has been quality innings from both these batters. And guess what, Foakes didn't stop after this as he took Ashwin to boundaries on two occasions after that six in the same over. England: 224/5

14:34 (IST) Feb 23

Final Session Commences

Walks out all the players and umpires as they begin the final session of play. Ravindra Jadeja to continue his spell. He needs to deliver now or the these two English batters will easily take the game away. Btw, they reached the 200-run mark in the second over after Tea. England: 200/5

image-lsygj3udRoot & Foakes (Source: AP Photo)

14:11 (IST) Feb 23

IND Vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 1: England at Tea 198/5

This was England's session by all means. They have not lost a single wicket in the entire session for the first time in the series. They needed that recovery after the first session that completely derailed them. Root and Foakes' impressive show takes them to 198 for the loss of five wickets.

14:07 (IST) Feb 23

India Lose all their Reviews

"Flatter delivery from Jadeja that comes in with the angle, Foakes is hanging back to defend it but gets beaten on the inside edge and he wears it on the front pad. A loud appeal from Jadeja and Jurel but the umpire turns it down. Rohit has a chat with his teammates and sends it upstairs. No bat involved and looks like it might go down leg. The ball tracking is up and it's Missing Leg. India lose all their reviews now."

Rohit was forced to go for the review by Jadeja and Jurel as he himself wasn't convinced. They was going down the leg on first look.

14:00 (IST) Feb 23

Foakes, Root Frustrate India

The duo continue to be resilient against the Indian spinners. Root in particular has been magnificent with his defence and occasional shots on offer. India will have to find a way to break this partnership otherwise these two will take the game away from them. England: 197/5

13:33 (IST) Feb 23

Root brings up his half-century

Joe Root has finally played like Joe Root today and the result is there to see. 50 for the great man. Again, no reverse scoops or irrelevant shots. Very characteristic innings under pressure considering they were 5 down for 112. He needs to score big today if England wants to stay in the series. England: 176/5

13:28 (IST) Feb 23

Root Dropped!

Now, that's a massive moment in the game. Was on 48 when a leg side delivery from Kuldeep Yadav went after hitting Jurel's glove. Was given leg-byes by the umpire but replays confirmed the big inside-edge which clear it as a dropped chance. They ran two on leg-byes though.

13:15 (IST) Feb 23

50 Partnership Between Root and Foakes

This has been some good rebuild from England's Joe Root and Ben Foakes. No fancy shots. Just proper cricket. This is how they should be playing more often than just throwing their wickets away.

12:54 (IST) Feb 23

150 up for England

Good partnership this for England between Foakes and Root. They are playing boring cricket, something you do not associate with England but need of the hour. Looks like the trend might continue for quite some time.  And for the starters, Kuldeep Yadav has finally been introduced after Ashwin-Jadeja bowled in tandem. England: 150/5

12:32 (IST) Feb 23

Careful Re-start By English Batters

Five wickets have surely put enough pressure on the English side. Result: they are playing with caution now. Both Joe Root and Ben Foakes taking care of the sixth wicket. England: 135/5

image-lsyb7swbRoot and Foakes building partnership (Source: AP Photo)

12:10 (IST) Feb 23

Second Sessions Begins

Ben Foakes is new man in after Stokes left. He played the entire Jadeja over and was able to find two runs in the five remaining balls. Joe Root will face the next over.

11:32 (IST) Feb 23

Lunch on Day 1

That is India's session by every means. Run-scoring has been close to five but wickets keep on falling as five are already back in the hut. 112 for 5 down will put more pressure on England but Joe Root is still there. Hang-on, we'll be back soon for the afternoon session! England: 112/5

image-lsyapt1rJadeja Picked Stokes (Source: X.com)

11:27 (IST) Feb 23

Stokes Departs!

That was wonderful from Jadeja. It was straight, full and smashed the pads of Ben Stokes. Given out straightway. Doesn't look for review. That is the biggest wicket. Skipper Stokes couldn't do his magic. England Five down. Lunch taken on Day 1. England: 112 for 5.

11:23 (IST) Feb 23

India Loses Their Second Review

That was given not-out by Kumar Dharmasena. Joe Root strided forward against Jadeja but was hit on the pads which looked very close to the bat. Rohit went for the review and it turned out to be bat first, marginally. India loses their second review. They are playing high-risk cricket.

11:17 (IST) Feb 23

India Review And Bairstow is Gone!

"A loud appeal for LBW but turned down by the umpire. Ashwin tosses this up on the fuller side on the stumps, Bairstow gets down on one knee and goes for the sweep but misses. He wears it on the back leg and Ashwin is confident but the umpire turns it down. Looked close to the naked eye and Rohit decides to send it upstairs. It's a fair delivery to start and there is a flat line on the UltraEdge when the ball is close to the bat. The third umpire asks for ball tracking and it's crashing on the middle pole. Rod Tucker reverses his decision and Bairstow departs. Ashwin picks up his 100th Test wicket against England."

That is as good as anything for the home side. Four wickets before lunch on Day-1, they will take that, infact, anyone will take that. Bairstow was scoring freely, just 35 balls for his 38 and now, India back at it. Ashwin wickets against England touches 100. Skipper Ben Stokes walks in. England: 109/4

11:12 (IST) Feb 23

100 up for England!

They are going at a fine rate. Will surely want to build a partnership here. Run-scoring is good as always from the 'Bazballers'.

11:02 (IST) Feb 23

Bairstow on Charge Now

Two consecutive boundaries for Bairstow against Siraj. He is in good flow now. Seems to have found his rhythm. Will surely want to score big today. Smacks Ravichandran Ashwin for a six in his first over. He's getting aggressive.

10:58 (IST) Feb 23

Sightscreen Issues For Bairstow

He has stopped both the bowlers Siraj and Akash Deep in their run-ups citing sight-screen issue. Having a chat with the bowler, though. He's signalling it to the umpires now who then tells it to Rohit.

10:35 (IST) Feb 23

Drinks Break, First Hour of Play Done

That is first hour of play done! England have lost three now. India in commanding position all of a sudden. There's something for the fast bowlers here. Firstly, debutant Akash Deep Got Ben Duckett Out, then, two deliveries later got Ollie Pope's wicket and just before drinks, managed to bag Zak Crawley's prized wicket as well. Akash Deep's bowling speed has been in the mid-130's but what is causing the English batters trouble is the seam movement.

10:30 (IST) Feb 23

Bowled Him! Crawley is Gone!

That's the reply! Akash Deep is breathing fire in Ranchi! He's knocked over Crawley again but this time, he is inside the crease. Comes back in and again, gets the better of Crawley. What a period of play that for India. The debutant shattering the English dream! England: 57/3.

10:26 (IST) Feb 23

Close Call! Root Survives!

That came back in from Akash Deep. He's on fire! Wraps Root on his pads. That looked close. India reviews again but unfortunately, this time, the impact is just outside the off-stump. That would have been a massive wicket.

10:21 (IST) Feb 23

Two in Two For Akash Deep!

Ollie Pope walked onto the crease and departed after facing just two deliveries. It smashed his pads which did look close. They went for the review. Turns out all three reds. Two in the over for the debutant, who could have had three. Rohit went for the review after JuBairrel asked for it. Pope departs for Duck. England: 46/2.

10:16 (IST) Feb 23

Akash Deep Strikes! Finally!

Akash Deep strikes for India as he gets the big big wicket of Ben Duckett. It was edged and taken by keeper Dhruv Jurel. Perfectly bowled. Finally, his wicket in international cricket, and, and, It's not a no ball!! He can have some relief now. England: 46/1

10:11 (IST) Feb 23

India Review For LBW

"An off-break on a good length that pitches a shade outside off and turns in, Duckett gets down on one knee and goes for the sweep but misses. All the close-in fielder go up but Kumar Dharmasena's finger stays down. Jadeja was pleading but 'NO' says the umpire. Rohit decides to send it upstairs. It's a fair delivery to start and there is no bat involved. The third umpire asks for ball tracking. Pitching Outside Off, Impact Umpire's Call and Wickets is Umpire's Call. The original decision of NOT OUT stays."

Ohhh!!! That was close! Could have gone either way, had it not been for umpire's call. Anyway, Duckett will stay at the crease.

10:09 (IST) Feb 23

Spin into the Attack

Ravindra Jadeja handed over the ball in the ninth over only. Tells you, this game might just be for the spinners if pacers are tonked like that.

10:04 (IST) Feb 23

Crawley Takes On Siraj

4, 4, 4, 6! That's how the last over went for Siraj against Zak Crawley, who showed no mercy to the pacer. That is some batting. England flying now. Crawley in no mood to stop. He is going at run-a-ball, 32-ball 32.

9:47 (IST) Feb 23

Blunder By Akash Deep

What a delivery that was from Akash Deep in his second over to knock the stumps of Zak Crawley. Unfortunately, turned out to be a front foot no-ball. Could have been a dream start to his career but not to be! That was a delivery to remember though for any fast bowler.

9:33 (IST) Feb 23

Two Paced Wicket

The ball is certainly doing something on length for the fast bowlers, evidenced by some occasional bounce for Siraj in the first over, which by the way turns out to be a maiden over.

9:30 (IST) Feb 23

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 1: Match Begins!

Alright, we're all set to begin the Fourth Test in Ranchi. The two English openers, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley out in the centre, with the latter set to face the first delivery, whereas Mohammed Siraj will take up the new ball duties for India. Umpires are there too, of course! Okay, then, here we go! Siraj to Crawley.

9:26 (IST) Feb 23

IND vs ENG, 4th Test, Day 1: Update

Massive update coming from England: Rehan Ahmed has been ruled out of the entire series after he returned home citing personal reasons. Further, he won't be coming back. Also, no replacement for him.

9:14 (IST) Feb 23

Debutant Akash Deep

The 27-year-old was handed his India cap from coach Rahul Dravid before the toss with a round of appreciation. Born in Bihar and plays domestic cricket for Bengal whereas he represents Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

9:07 (IST) Feb 23
