This is a fine turnaround from India. They have proved their mettle on the back of an all-round show from Kuldeep Yadav, who played his part with the bat first and then decimated England with his mystery spin. Dhruv Jurel was terrific with the bat, and so was Ashwin with his 35th fifer. India will be pretty pleased with that effort as they only require 152 to seal this game and series, whereas England would be thinking that they have let this game go out of their hands. What a game of cricket this has been. England bowled out for 145 which means India need 192 to win this match. Could be tough looking at the wicket but not impossible by any means. Meanwhile, Ashwin gets five and Kuldeep bags four to pull India back in the game on Day 3. Stay here  for the rest of the play.

James Anderson couldn't survive more than two deliveries as he tries to reverse sweep Ashwin but gets the thigh pad which touches his glove and then, hits his bat to get it over the stumps as keeper Dhruv Jurel takes a brilliant one-handed catch. England have been bowled out for 145 with a lead of 191. Ashwin gets the fifer. 35th for him in this format.

Ashwin gets his fourth. That was a carrom ball and Foakes gets a leading edge while trying to flick it through the one side and instead plays it straight back to Ashwin who completes a good catch. England lose ninth.

Ben Foakes was trying to reverse R Ashwin here but gets it on the pads. Finger raised by the umpire. He goes upstairs and gets the decision reversed. Saved by a minute edge from the bat. He won't be playing any fancy shots now. Has batted carefully in the last 11 overs.

England have gone very defensive here after the fall of eighth wicket. Only nine runs in the last nine overs. Ben Foakes and Shoaib Bashir have been resilient in their defences. Indian spinners are trying hard to get another breakthrough here which can change their fortunes. Last one hour of play left for today. Lead is 188 for England.

Skipper Ben Stokes has been knocked over here. Pretty lucky for India. Kuldeep's delivery is a flighted one. Stokes presses forward to defend, but is beaten, hits the back-pad, ricochets onto the stumps. Another good wicket. Stokes was lucky on last two occasions but this time, his luck didn't favour.

This was mighty close. Stokes survives. Just. Could have gone either way with the umpires call but the not-out decision gives batter the advantage. A smile from Stokes because he knows. The hitting was umpire's call, that is where he got saved.

Too good from Kuldeep this! He has cleaned up Zak Crawley. Huge wicket this given the circumstances. He was looking to play it through the covers but ball came back in sharply. He walks back for 60.

Outstanding bowling this from Shoaib Bashir. He traps Akash Deep in front of the stumps who unsuccessfully reviews it. India have lost their ninth and Bashir gets his first five wicket haul in Tests. Infact, his first in First-Class cricket. India: 303/9

Debutant Akash Deep has tonked Bashir for a six here! Length delivery pitching outside the off stump. Deep gets down on a knee and swings across the line clearing the mid-wicket fence! That's required at this stage. India: 293/8

Dhruv Jurel in counter attacking mode now. He smashed Shoaib Bashir for a 6 & 4 on two consecutive deliveries. That's some solid batting after that dropped catch. India reducing England's lead now. India: 279/8

Ollie Robinson has dropped Dhruv Jurel at mid-wicket. How costly is that going to be? It was hit hard by Jurel and Robinson couldn't get hold of it. It went through his hands. Would have been a massive wicket at this stage.

Breakthrough for England on the stroke of the first hour of play, just before drinks. Unlucky for Kuldeep, the ball rolls back to stumps after hitting his bat and pad. Anderson's patience has finally paid off. He kept on bowling him there. Kuldeep back after a wonderful knock of 28 from 131 deliveries. That's the 76-run stand broken. India: 253/8

That's a score, India wouldn't even have been dreaming of when the seventh wicket fell. Surely, this partnership between Jurel and Kuldeep. Outstanding batting this from these two. India's trail now 103 runs after 86 overs. India: 250/7

Just to inform you all. This is the most Kuldeep Yadav has ever batted in a Test innings. Infact, he has now played the most deliveries this innings by an Indian batter- 120.

50-Partnership Between Jurel and Kuldeep

That's an excellent partnership between Dhruv Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav crossing the 50-run mark. Very much important for India. This has saved them from a great embarrassment. Could have been folded under 200 but lucky for India, that these two are still there. India: 227/3

On a track that is obviously favouring spinners more than anyone, India would at least have to reduce their deficit to 50-60 runs - if not able to take a lead. A total will depend on how Kuldeep Yadav and the best of the tail bat around Dhruv. 

After another day that went in England's way, India find themselves out of the match. First Joe Root's century outfoxed Rohit Sharma & co. on the first Day of the Ranchi Test, followed by young Shoaib Bashir's spin trap on Day 2. Still trailing behind by 134 runs, the 23-year-old Durel Jurel will have to channel inner Dhoni in Thala's home ground to reduce the hosts' first innings deficit.
