[Watch] Ravindra Jadeja's Magic Continues As He Gets England's Shoaib Bashir In Ranchi

After finally providing England a break on Day 2 of the Ranchi Test with the wicket of the gritty lower-order batter Ollie Robinson, Ravindra Jadeja feasted against No.10 Shoaib Bashir, who miscued his attempted big shot against the great Indian left-arm spinner and ended up throwing his wicket away.

Not feeling confident of his survival on defence against the modern-day stalwart, who would've been recharged after the Robinson breakthrough, Bashir went for a hoick towards the on-side against the spinner's arm ball, which hit the thick leading edge instead of the sweet spot and went comfortably into the hands of the short-third fielder.

Placed there, Rajat Patidar took the easiest of catches and Jadeja gave India another wicket, building further inroads in the England batting and taking a giant leap towards dismissing them in the pre-lunch session on the second morning.

Jadeja Gets Bashir Out Caught

Going for a big hit over the bowler's head, Bashir was done in by hint of over-spin on the delivery by Jadeja and mistimed his stroke woefully to hand Patidar an easy catching chance in the short-third region.

Bashir's shot wouldn't have delighted England despite their renowned ultraggressive 'Bazball' approach since their marathon centurion Joe Root was still out there at the other end, holding fight and trying to maximise England's time out in the middle after winning the toss and batting first.

Jadeja would've had no qualms with Bashir's shot, however, as he earned a much-deserved wicket after having worked extremely hard on Day 1 for each of the breakthroughs as India's best and most likely wicket-taker on show among the spinners.

The 35-year-old eventually also dismissed No.11 James Anderson to take 4 wickets for 67 runs off his 32.5 overs and allowed India to restrict England to 353.
