In a moment of light-hearted banter on the cricket field, Sarfaraz Khan and Shoaib Bashir added a touch of humor to the intense atmosphere of the game. As the fourth Test between India and England unfolded in Ranchi, the stump mic captured a delightful exchange between the two players during the first session of Day 2.

The scene was set after Ollie Robinson's departure following his commendable half-century, paving the way for Shoaib Bashir to take his place alongside Joe Root. Positioned at silly point, Sarfaraz Khan seized the opportunity for a playful jab, remarking, "Isko toh Hindi nahi aati" (He doesn't understand Hindi). However, Bashir, quick on his feet, retorted with a witty comeback, stating, "Thodi thodi aati hai Hindi" (I do understand a little bit of Hindi).

This spontaneous and humorous exchange not only showcased the camaraderie between the players but also provided a moment of levity amidst the competitive spirit of the game. The video capturing their interaction spread quickly among cricket enthusiasts, eliciting laughter and appreciation for the lighter side of cricket.

However, Bashir's stint at the crease was short-lived, lasting only a couple of deliveries before he fell victim to Jadeja's delivery without scoring any runs. Attempting a reckless swing across the line, the 20-year-old ended up with a leading edge, easily collected by Rajat Patidar.

The day commenced with Joe Root and Ollie Robinson leading England's charge at the crease. Both displayed solid batting, capitalizing on loose deliveries while maintaining composure in defense. Robinson notched his debut Test fifty, contributing to a vital 100-run partnership with Root for the eighth wicket.

However, Ravindra Jadeja halted their momentum, dismissing Robinson for 58 caught behind and removing Shoaib Bashir for a duck in the same over. With James Anderson departing without scoring, England's innings concluded at 353, Root standing unbeaten on 122. Jadeja claimed four wickets, supported by debutant Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj with three and two scalps respectively, swiftly wrapping up England's tail on day two.
