Several cricketers have taken retirement recently, and the latest in the entry is Sydney Sixers all-rounder Angela Reakes, who announced her parting away from cricket last week.

Reakes played her final professional game over the weekend, playing for the ACT in their final Women's National Cricket League 2022-23 match against Victoria. The 32-year-old, who was part of the Sixers' inaugural Women's Big Bash League (BBL) side, played 87 matches, scored 595 runs, and picked up 5 wickets across seven editions.

She won the WBBL 02 and WBBL 03 seasons, before shifting base to the Melbourne Stars in WBBL 04.

The New South Wales-born rejoined the Sixers for BBL 07 and finished as one of the highest run-getters for the franchise.

Reakes made her First-Class debut for the New South Wales Women's back in 2009 and spent six years there before moving to the ACT in the 2015-16 season.

She won six back-to-back WNCL titles with NSW.
