On Monday, one of India's greatest Test batter, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from the game's longest format. There were rumours that Kohli had written an email to BCCI to convey his retirement call and the rumours came true as the batter will now only play the ODI format.

With Kohli bidding adieu to his favourite format a void has been left as India now target to replace him ahead of the England Test series.

Team India's nemesis, and arguably one of the best Test bowlers of current era, Scott Boland was the one who dismissed Kohli for the last time in Tests. In the Border-Gavaskar Series between India and Australia, Boloand made Kohli his bunny and in his last innings in whites, the Aussie pacer gave a knockout punch.

Kohli in Tests had a weakness outside the off and the Aussie pacer targeted it as he bowled a short of a length ball outside the off, almost towards the sixth stump line as the Indian batter nicked it and Steve Smith took a simple catch at second slip to end Kohli's misery in Tests.

Who Dismissed him in T20Is?

In the T20 World Cup 2024 finals, Kohli scored a brilliant 76 and helped India win the World Cup. However, he was dismissed in the game and Proteas pacer, Marco Jansen was the one who knocked him over for the last time in T20Is as after the event he announced his retirement.

Who knocked his stumps in his last red-ball game?

After the BGT failure, Kohli came back to domestic circuit and played for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy match Vs Railways. In that game, he looked nervous and pacer Himanshu Sangwan was the bowler who had the honour to knock Virat Kohli's stumps in red-ball cricket as the batter was dismissed for just 6.
