The IPL 2025 is all set to resume on May 17 after the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. The new schedule has been released, and the final will be played on June 3 with the venue still undecided. There were initially doubts that most of the foreign players would not return to India, but some high profile players have confirmed their availability in the last few days.
RR Likely To Miss Services Of Bowling Coach After IPL 2025 Resumption
However, there is still doubt over few players, and one of them is RR batter, Shimron Hetmyer. The Guyanese batter is one of the retained players for RR this season, but could not live upto his billing, and there are now chances that he will not travel back to India for the last two matches. The development has been posted by Gaurav Gupta on X, the Senior Assistant Editor at TOI.
He has also revealed that Rajasthan Royals' bowling coach, Shane Bond will not travel back to India. Rajasthan Royals are already out of the tournament and have just three wins in 12 matches. Shimron Hetmyer scored 216 runs in 11 innings of IPL 2025 with an average of 21.60. Thus, there are chances that RR might even release the Caribbean star after this season, and not travelling to India for the remainder of matches, might hurt his chances even more.
Rajasthan Royals will resume their campaign on May 18 against Punjab Kings at their home ground in Jaipur. Sanju Samson is likely to be fit for the last two matches after missing quite a few games this season due to a finger injury.
RR's final match will be against Chennai Super Kings on May 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
