In a big development regarding the availability of players for the remainder of IPL, Cricbuzz has revealed that Mitchell Starc might not travel back to India. There is also doubt over the return of Jake Fraser McGurk, and if both the players miss out, it could create problems for Delhi Capitals who are still in the race for the playoffs.
Mitchell Starc Likely To Keep Himself Fresh For WTC Final
According to the report, the pacer was shaken by the situation that the DC and PBKS players had to go through once their match was called off due to security situation. The players of both the teams had to take the bus from Dharamsala to Jalandhar, and then were taken by train to Delhi.
There is also WTC final coming up, and Mitchell Starc would like to be fit and fresh for that important game. However, the likes of Pat Cummins and Travis Head who are also part of Australia's WTC squad are likely to be back for SRH.
Punjab Kings Might Miss Services Of Josh Inglis And Marcus Stoinis
Thus, Starc's decision could be personal and Jake Fraser McGurk too has been reported to be disturbed by the turn of events in India. The other overseas players from DC are likely to be available when the tournament resumes and it includes names like Faf du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs.
Also, just like DC, Punjab Kings might also miss the services of two Australians, Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis while rest of the players are likely to be available once their campaign resumes. The IPL 2025 is all set to start again from May 17 and the final will be played on June 3.
