Gulf Giants' Dominic Drakes was involved in a horrific incident during the International League T20 match against Sharjah Warriors at Sharjah while attempting the catch of opponents' skipper Moeen Ali.
Drakes fell on the field as he grabbed the catch but was badly injured in the process hurting his face and might have suffered from concussion as well. He didn't moved a bit as he was visibly in immense pain after grasping the catch and was taken out of the field using a stretcher.
Later, he was taken to the hospital using the ambulance for scans and as of now, results are still awaited.
Ali was on 1 when he edged one up in the air while playing a pull shot on a Carlos Brathwaite delivery as Warriors were reduced to 44 for the loss of three wickets inside 6 overs.
As of publishing this article, Sharjah are in deep trouble with nine down for 102 after the end of 17 overs.
