PCB angry with the absence of Pakistan captain on ICC poster [Source: @Screengrabs]
The Pakistan Cricket Board is severely angry with the International Cricket Council's action ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. Incidentally, the PCB is frustrated with the ICC for excluding the team’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, from the promotional poster for the tournament’s ticket sales.
As per News18, a reliable source from the PCB shared that the issue has been raised, with the ICC being notified about the promotional poster that only included captains of India, Australia, Sri Lanka, England and South Africa.

This is not the first time Pakistan has been excluded from a tournament’s promotional poster. During the Asia Cup 2025, the promotional campaign also saw the Pakistan team excluded, with no sign of their captain in those promotional ventures.
“We faced the same issues when the Asia Cup was held a few months back and that time the broadcasters had started a promotional campaign without our captain featuring in it," the PCB source revealed as quoted by News18.

Notably, Pakistan is also not among the top five teams in the ICC T20 rankings, which might have influenced the poster design by the International Cricket Council.
“We are facing a similar situation this time as the ICC has not projected our captain on the promotional poster for ticket sales," the source informed with grievance.
The poster, which was released on December 11 at 3:50 PM IST on the ICC's official social media handle, was intended to promote ticket sales, which began on December 11 itself from 6:45 PM IST.
Nevertheless, the PCB is confident that the issue raised will be resolved and amended as soon as possible. The 10th edition of the mega ICC tournament will commence on February 7, 2026, with the curtain raiser being played between Pakistan and the Netherlands at Colombo.
