On December 12, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Mohsin Naqvi announced the extension of the PSL franchise bid submission deadline by one week to December 22, 2025.
The announcement comes amid growing interest from Europe, the USA, and the Middle East in acquiring the new HBL PSL teams. International investment and participation in the league are growing significantly, as per the PCB Chief, and the deadline extension only allows for drawing in more potential investors.

The chairman formally shared the message on his official Twitter account to signify that interest from various groups in Europe, the USA, and the Middle East is increasing.
“Witnessing growing interest from the Europe, USA, the Middle East and beyond in acquiring new HBL PSL teams, we have decided to extend the bid submission deadline by one week to 22 December 2025. Good luck to everyone excited to welcome our new franchise owners to the HBL PSL family,” Mohsin Naqvi said in the statement.
For the unaware, PSL also arranged roadshows in the Lord’s cricket ground and will also arrange another international roadshow in New York soon.
Two new teams to be added to PSL
Nevertheless, the existing and incoming investors are required to submit two team name options along with logos and designs for the new franchises. The extension gives them additional time ahead of the commencement of the two new teams to the tournament.
Notably, The two new teams for PSL 11 are almost finalised, with the reserve price for each franchise being around PKR 1.25 billion. Notably, as per reports, two US-based entrepreneurs and investors from the UK and Europe are expected to submit bids.
