It looked like a contest between the unequals as Australia swayed away Pakistan by eight wickets in the second T20I, winning the three-match series.

Australia bowlers shutout Pakistan

After opting to bat first, Pakistan never turned out in the match as in the bid to avert the danger, their batters opted for the defensive route.

Showing their bowling might, Australia used nine bowlers in the innings with as many as six of them contributing to the wickets tally.

Pakistan's opener Muneeba Ali scored a 43-ball 33, however, her stuttering innings took her side nowhere. Although skipper Bismah Maroof remained not-out for 29 runs, she lacked support from the other end as the women in green could score only 96 runs in their 20 overs.

Alana King was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as she took two wickets, conceding just 10 runs in her two overs.

Mooney's knock decimates Pakistan

With a paltry target to achieve, it happened to be a stroll in the park for Australia. Beth Mooney hammered almost half of the runs as her 29-ball 46 set-up the hosts for a massive win.

While Nida Dar gave Aussies a few dents with her two scalps, it did not deter them much as Tahlia McGrath and Ashleigh Gardner finished off the match for Australia in the 13th over.

Brief scores:

Pakistan Women - 96/7 (20)

Muneeba Ali 33 (43), Bismah Maroof 29* (28);
Alana King 2-10 (2), Jess Jonassen 1-8 (2)

Australia Women - 100/2 (12.4)

Beth Mooney 46 (29), Meg Lanning 31 (32);
Nida Dar 2-27 (4)
