The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a list of 191 players who have been offered domestic contracts for the 2022-23 cricketing season.

The 2022-23 domestic contracts have come into effect from August 1st, 2022 and will run till July 31st, 2023. PCB has also increased match fees for players in the new domestic contracts.

The 191 players have been divided into five categories based on their performances over the seasons – A+, A, B, C, and D offering different monthly retainers to the players.

Reportedly, the 15 Category A+ players will have their pay increased by PKR 50,000 to PKR 300,000, while the 35 players under Category A will receive a monthly retainer of PKR 200,000 while the 48 Category B players will get PKR 185,000 per month.

70 Category C players will receive PKR 170,000 per month whereas 24 Category D players will earn PKR 150,000 per month. Notably, players who are centrally contracted with the national team are not part of the domestic contracts.

Players offered Category A+ contracts include Aamir Jamal, Abrar Ahmed, Bismillah Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Faizan Riaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imran Butt, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Hasnain, Mubasir Khan, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Usman Salahuddin.

In another set of development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to players' request of giving them event-based contracts rather than full-season deals which could help them play in domestic leagues elsewhere.
