In what is coming as a recent development surrounding Sussex Cricket, Paul Farbrace has been roped in as the county's new head coach.

Farbrace's appointment comes in the wake of Ian Salisbury's dispute with the club as the former replaces the latter in the position of head coach.

Here's what Farbrace said

"I am delighted to be joining Sussex and I am really looking forward to helping everyone at the club to achieve their ambitions. It is a fantastic club that has produced many fantastic players for both Sussex and England,

"I am really looking forward to the opportunity of working with the players and coaches to drive the performance of the team forward. We should be very focused on developing our own players, as well as developing players to play for England at all levels, but also winning trophies for the members and the club."

The 55-year-old inked a deal with Sussex after working as Warwickshire's sporting director from 2019, in a period that witnessed the club winning a County Championship and a Bob Willis Trophy.

He assisted Trevor Bayliss in England's transition from 2015-2019 and helped in rejigging their white-ball formula.

Farbrace also commanded Sri Lanka's 2014 T20 World Cup title reign as their head coach.
