Max Harris signs new rookie deal with Middlesex

Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC) have announced a rookie deal extension for pacer Max Harris, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023 season. Harris joined the County back in 2021 on a rookie contract and made his professional debut last summer.
Overall, the youngster has played six games for Middlesex, picking up 11 wickets, including a three-for in a Royal London Cup encounter against Sussex. The 21-year-old made his much-awaited debut in the T20 Blast after spending most of 2021 on the bench due to an injury.
Harris is a home-grown talent and is the third player after spinners Luke Hollman and Thilan Walallawita to sign on the dotted line since Middlesex's promotion to the County Championship Division 1.
Harris, in a statement, expressed delight at his extended association with the County.
"I am buzzing to have extended my stay at Middlesex for another year. I've loved my time here so far and feel like I'm progressing well, especially last year when making my debut in both white-ball formats. I'm looking forward to contributing towards some team success next year."
Director of cricket, Alan Coleman welcomed Harris back into the system.
"He is a local lad, one of several to come through North Middlesex Cricket Club's ranks, and as a graduate of our Elite Player Programme it is always good to see one of your own make progress in the game,"
