After the end of a magnificent Women's T20 Asia Cup, India triumphed in the finals beating Sri Lanka by eight wickets to take the championship home for the seventh time. Apart from the collective team efforts, some players stood out with the bat and ball in hand.

We will look at the top three wicket-takers and run-scorers from the tournament who were crucial to their side.

Highest Run-Scorers:

 1. Jemimah Rodrigues

With 217 runs in just six innings, Jemimah Rodrigues was on fire in this tournament, where she scored runs at an average of 54 while striking at 135. Her outstanding batting was crucial to India's chances, especially in the first two games against Sri Lanka and UAE, where she scored 75 and 76. Coming after an injury lay-off, she proved her worth once again.

2. Harshitha Madavi

Batting at three, Madavi amassed 202 runs in the eight games, where she averaged 25 in the tournament. While her highest score of 81 was against Thailand, she played some decent cameos to stabilize the middle order.

3. Shafali Verma

India's dynamic opener Shafali Verma played three wonderful knocks of 46, 55 and 42 against Malaysia, Bangladesh and Thailand, respectively, where she compiled a total of 116 runs. Her average of 27 complements well to her strike rate of 122 in harsh batting conditions.

Highest Wicket-takers:

 1. Deepti Sharma

With 13 wickets in 8 innings, Deepti Sharma is always in the limelight with her skills. It was a fruitful tournament for her after coming off an equally decent England series. She gave away runs at an economy of just 3.33 while bowling at a strike rate of 7. Her spell of 3/27 against Pakistan and 3/7 against Thailand was highly critical for India.

2. Inoka Ranaweera

The left-arm spinner from Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera, is the joint-highest wicket-taker with Deepti. However, her economy of 4.65 and strike rate of 9 were below her counterpart. Her best spell came against Bangladesh, where she recorded figures of 4/7 during an extremely low-scoring rain-affected encounter.

3. Rumana Ahmed

Scalping 10 wickets, Bangladesh's Rumana Ahmed bowled pretty well throughout the tournament while rolling her arm over in just five matches. 3/9 against Thailand in the very first game set the tone for her side, which helped her maintain the economy of 4.83.
