South Africa will lock horns with hosts India in a three-match T20I series starting Wednesday.

Ahead of the all-important first match, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma has clarified that playing against Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will help South Africa prepare themselves better for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

As we know, Virat and Rohit didn't participate in the home T20I series against South Africa in February this year. But with the World Cup being around the corner, India will field their full-strength side this time.

On being asked whether the presence of Virat and Rohit will ruin South Africa's chances in the series, Bavuma answered that they will grab the opportunity of playing against these stalwarts with both hands at they will pose serious challenges for them and hence will aid to their World Cup preparations.

Here's what Bavuma replied to the question

"Obviously, those are big names. We expect them to come hard and lead from the front. It will  be a good practice for the team. It's good for us against their bests."

When enquired about their plans against India's new ball bowlers, Bavuma said,

"Facing the opening bowlers is challenging. They move the ball quite a lot, probably a little more than what we are accustomed to back home. I think probably the key is to limit the damage."

The first match of the series will be played in Thiruvananthapuram, while the second and third encounters are scheduled in Guwahati and Indore, respectively.
