Another incredible season of English cricket is coming to an end as the last round of County Championship Division-Two games starting from September 26th which will see eight teams locking horns against each other with each of Nottinghamshire, Middlesex and Glamorgan, mathematically still in the race of lifting the title.

Worcestershire vs Middlesex

Worcestershire will host Middlesex in the 14th round of the County Championship Division-Two at New Road, Worcester. Tim Murtagh and his men must be in high on confidence after winning their last two games. They are currently have an advantage of 9 (209) points to third placed Glamorgan in the promotion race into the top flight.

Middlesex need to maintain their top two position to get promoted for Division-One next summer. On the other hand, Worcestershire is already out of the promotion race and currently placed fourth in the points table with 183 points.

However, they have been brilliant recently and defeated Nottinghamshire in their last game. This is definitely a game to keep your eyes on for the next week. Can Middlesex maintain their position in the top two or even lift the title?

Nottinghamshire vs Durham

In another important Division-Two fixture, table toppers Nottinghamshire will take on fifth positioned Durham at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire, who lost last week to Worcestershire inside three-days and are just 9 points clear of second placed Middlesex, will be hoping to give their best in the East Midlands to end the season with the championship.

The green and gold need at least seven points to secure a place in Division-One in 2023 and 16 points in total to lift the title. Stuart Broad also returns to the squad for the final clash of the season.

On the other hand, Durham are coming into this fixture with two consecutive wins, having defeated Leicestershire and Sussex in their last two games. Can Durham carry on their form to bring a halt to Nottinghamshire title race?

Sussex vs Glamorgan

Sussex will take on Glamorgan in another Division-Two clash of the County Championship in Hove. The hosts are coming into this fixture on the back of a big defeat against Durham and are currently placed seventh in the points table.

On the other hand Glamorgan, who are placed third in the points table with six wins in thirteen games, are eyeing a potential promotion to Division-One in their last championship fixture of the summer. They are just nine points behind Middlesex and will be hoping for a successful final push.

Derbyshire vs Leicestershire

Going head-to-head at County Ground in Derby, Derbyshire will host Leicestershire in their final championship fixture of the summer. Derbyshire are placed seventh on the points table with three wins, three losses and seven draws.

On the other hand, Leicestershire are sitting at the bottom of the table after thirteen games in the season. They are yet to win a game in the championship this year and suffered an innings defeat to Derbyshire last time when these two teams met. Can Leicestershire can finally open their account and end the season on a high?
