Barbados Royals (BR) secured a sensational victory by 80 runs against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in Match 8 of the CPL 2022 at Gros Islet.

Royals post a mammoth total

Invited to bat first, Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock pummelled the Knight Riders' bowlers to provide a thunderous start to the Royals. It was Andre Russell, who broke the 85-run stand by sending the dangerous Mayers (55 off 35) back to the hut.

Arriving at number three, David Miller stitched a quick 35-run stand with Quinton, who was dismissed for 44 off 34. Then, Miller unleashed his hitting prowess to good effect and steered the team at a lavish rate.

With the support from Azam Khan and Jason Holder at other end, Miller hit 60 off 36 to boost Royals to a total of 194.
