Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq was surprised with Virat Kohli's approach in the game against Pakistan on Sunday.

Kohli who was making his much awaited return after a break looked scratchy in the beginning, but played some delightful strokes as well. However, he failed to capitalise on his start and was sent packing on 35 after playing a loose shot against Mohammad Nawaz.

The 52-year-old has now criticised Kohli's batting and stated that the legendary batter didn't look confident at all.

"There was a lot of pressure on Kohli. Usually it is difficult to dismiss a set batter, but I was surprised that Kohli was not looking confident even after getting set," the former World Cup winner said on his YouTube channel.

Inzamam baffled with Indian management's decision to drop Pant

He also questioned the Indian team management for dropping Rishabh Pant from the playing XI. Team India raised eyebrows when they selected Dinesh Karthik in this high-octane game, and the decision was slammed by the former cricketer.

"India's middle and lower order are very strong. This separates them from the other teams. I was surprised that they chose to bench Rishabh Pant. The combination of Pant, Pandya and Jadeja is a dangerous combination.

India will be high on confidence after beating their arch-rivals. Next up Hong Kong awaits them on Wednesday, and the Indian fans would be hoping that their star players return back to form sooner rather than later.
