India set to host 2025 Women’s World Cup as ICC confirms 2024-2027 event cycle

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced host nations for every ICC Women’s event to be conducted between 2024 and 2027.

India is set to host the Cricket World Cup 2025, taking over from New Zealand, which hosted the event in 2022. The 2025 tournament will mark India’s fifth World Cup as hosts and the first ICC Women’s event since 2016, when India staged the T20 World Cup in tandem with the men’s event.

As per the ICC Annual Conference in Birmingham, 31 matches will be played in the 2025 World Cup, with eight teams participating in the global event.
