On Friday, the right-arm medium pacer made the most of the opportunity with the ball, scalping a five-wicket haul (for 10 in 2.2 overs) against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to book GT a place in the final to face off with Chennai on Sunday.

Interestingly, Mohit came into the attack in the 14th over of the chase, with Suryakumar going all guns blazing with MI's score reading 149/4, requiring 87 runs to win. However, he began his spell by getting smacked for a maximum off SKY on the second ball but turned the tables soon by castling the batter and Vishnu Vinod in the same very over.

The change-of-pace bowler removed two more wickets in his second over of the day before bagging his fifth wicket and ending MI's dream for the season as GT won the match by 62 runs.

In the process, Mohit bagged the second-best bowling figure in an IPL playoff fixture. The bowler with better figures than the GT seamer is Mumbai's Akash Madhwal, who dismantled Lucknow in Eliminator with his spell of 5 for 5 at Chennai.
