Former England captain Nasser Hussain has hailed Eoin Morgan as the country's greatest-ever white-ball skipper after the latter announced his retirement from all forms of cricket last evening.

Morgan, 36, helped England change their approach towards white-ball cricket, bringing in more aggression and flamboyance since taking over in 2015.

His hard work paid off when, under his leadership, England managed to lift their maiden World Cup in 2019.

Hussain, in his column for Sky Sports, wrote that the swashbuckling southpaw revolutionised England's limited-overs culture and was respected both on and off the field.

Here's what Hussain stated

"It goes without saying that Eoin is England's greatest-ever white-ball captain, a World Cup-winning captain. He changed the culture of English white-ball cricket. If you look at where we were at the 2015 World Cup in Australia when we lost to Bangladesh to where we are now, the change is remarkable."

Morgan, who retired from international cricket last year, captained England in 126 ODIs and 72 T20Is, resulting in 118 wins. The former KKR skipper also played 16 Tests, scoring 700 runs.

The left-handed batter finished his career as England's leading ODI (6,957) and T20I (2,458) run-getter.
