On Saturday, India's batting maestro Virat Kohli celebrated his 34th birthday. The former India captain is currently in Australia with the Indian team to participate in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup

The batting maverick has been stunning in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup. In the four matches played so far, he has scored a total of 220 runs, which is the most by any batter in the tournament.

The Delhi batter played his career-best knock of unbeaten 82 runs against the arch-rivals Pakistan at the MCG on October 23 and followed it up with a 44-ball 62 against the Netherlands in Sydney.

In India's third game against South Africa, Kohli was dismissed for 12 runs. However, in the next match against Bangladesh, he found his mojo back and clobbered 64 runs from 44 balls.

Speaking to India Today, veteran India opener Shikhar Dhawan opened up on Virat Kohli's comeback and recent success in the marquee event. Dhawan believes that Kohli's discipline, positive mindset, and self-belief set him apart from others.

The recently appointed Punjab Kings captain further congratulated Kohli for his brilliance in the ongoing World Cup and said team India is peaking at the right time. Dhawan also backed the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team to make it to the final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022.

Here's how Dhawan lavished praise on Kohli

"Virat’s self belief is very strong, his mindset is very positive when you talk to him and it's all about how you talk to yourself. You can be your best friend or your own victim, that is totally dependent on you. He is quite disciplined as well, he ate everything and quit fat and he changed all of that with his will power. This mixed with his skill got him success,

"Virat Kohli is doing very well in this tournament, so many congratulations to him. I wish him a very happy birthday, from the depth of my heart. India is peaking at the right time and I am rooting for them."
