Salisbury, Pettman find new clubs after County release

Salisbury was released by Durham following the conclusion of this year’s County Championship. The cricketer spent four seasons at the club, and claimed 102 wickets for them ever since his arrival in 2018.

The fast bowler expressed his excitement of joining Leicestershire. The 29-year-old said that he previously spoke with the coaching staff, and believed that joining here was the right decision for his career.

“I'm very excited to have been given the opportunity to join Leicestershire. As soon as I spoke with Claude (Henderson) and the coaching staff, I got a strong feeling about the club being the right place for me.”

Meanwhile, young pacer Toby Pettman has also switched sides to join Nottinghamshire. The cricketer was loaned out to both Kent and Derbyshire earlier this year.

Pettman’s new deal with Nottinghamshire means he will remain attached with the club until the conclusion of 2024 County season. He said that he is delighted to continue his cricketing journey at Trent Bridge and he is looking forward to achieve considerable success for the team in the coming seasons.

“I'm delighted to be continuing my cricketing journey with Nottinghamshire. We have a great group of people here, who have helped me make enormous improvements in my own game, and we have an opportunity to achieve considerable success as a team in the coming years.”
