Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) franchise Adelaide Strikers signed top-order batter Katie Mack on a two-year deal, keeping her with the club until 2024. Mack made her Strikers' debut last year, where she was the second-highest run-getter with 513 runs, contributing to the side's march towards the final.

Overall, Mack has played 117 WBBL matches since its inception back in 2015-16, and scored 2,171 runs playing for Melbourne Stars and Strikers, respectively.

Mack spoke about feeling excited to re-join the Adelaide-based club once again.

Here's what she said

“I’m excited to continue on with Strikers for at least another two years, we had so much fun and success last year and we are looking forward to building on that this season.

I’m really looking forward to reuniting with my teammates and hopefully we can go one better this year.”

Head coach Luke Williams called Mack an integral part of the squad

“Having Katie as a steadying figure at the top of the order last year was so important for us and she consistently delivered runs at the beginning of the innings.”

The 29-year-old currently leads the Australian Capital Territory Women (CTW) side in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL), who are placed fifth in the table after two matches.
