As many as four Group B matches of the 2022 Royal London One-Day Cup were played out on August 17. Here is a look at the high points from each of those fixtures.

Derbyshire vs Kent

Both Kent and hosts Derbyshire shared a point each as no play was possible in the much-awaited County Ground encounter due to rains. The damp squib affair also knocked Derbyshire out of the Royal London 2022 race

Essex vs Yorkshire

Heavy downpour at Chelmsford did not stop hosts Essex from collecting two crucial Group B points against Yorkshire. Batting first and putting a decent 240 on the board, bowlers Shane Snater, Raymond Toole and Aron Nijjar bowled economical and wicket-taking spells in the second half of the game.

Yorkshire reached 76 for the loss of six in 19 overs before the players were called off the field.

Glamorgan vs Lancashire

Lancashire batsmen cantered themselves to an easy run-chase against hosts Glamorgan at The Gnoll in Neath.

Earlier, Tom Bailey collected three Glamorgan wickets, including that of both openers, in his nine-over spell. His teammates George Balderson, Liam Hurt and Danny Lamb claimed two wickets each as Lancashire’s pace quartet limited the hosts total to just 177.

Later, openers Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings cracked fifties to overall their target in just 36 overs.

Northamptonshire vs Worcestershire

Worcestershire opener Azhar Ali mounted over hosts Northamptonshire bowlers with a colossal 130 to cap an entertaining run-chase for his side.

For the Northants, captain Will Young cracked an unbeaten ton to boost his side to 248-4 in a 39-over contest. Opener Ricardo Vasconcelos also assisted his skipper with a fluent 70 at the top of the order.

The visitors overhauled their revised DLS target with four balls to spare, with wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Cox hitting the winning runs in a Rashid Khan-esque manner.
