Gloucestershire vs Nottinghamshire

Hosts Gloucestershire pulled off a sensational run-chase at the County Ground in Bristol. Captain Jack Taylor missed out on a rapid hundred while James Bracey struck a thunderous 104* as the home side overhauled Nottinghamshire’s 294 with ease.

Brief scores:

Nottinghamshire: 294 (50)
Sol Budinger 89 (56), Lyndon James 47 (64);
Paul van Meekeren 3-73, Tom Smith 2-41

Gloucestershire: 298-5 (39.4)
James Bracey 104* (93), Jack Taylor 95 (55);
Matthew Montgomery 2-48, Brett Hutton 1-50

Gloucestershire won by five wickets

Middlesex vs Surrey

Middlesex batters mounted 351-7, with captain Stephen Eskinazi contributing more than half of those runs with his rip-roaring 182. The daunting total set up a 102-run win for the hosts, as the visiting Surrey managed just 249 in their response.

Speedsters Umesh Yadav and Ethan Bamber were the destroyers-in-chief for the Surrey batters, as the duo combined six wickets between them.

Brief scores:

Middlesex: 351-7 (50)
Stephen Eskinazi 182 (136), Pieter Malan 64 (60);
Conor McKerr 3-38, Yousef Majid 2-51

Surrey: 249 (41.4)
Ryan Patel 118 (99), Nathan Barnwell 31 (27);
Ethan Bamber 3-46, Umesh Yadav 3-52

Middlesex won by 102 runs

Somerset vs Durham

Hosts Somerset won the toss, and instantly regretted their decision of bowling first. The visiting Durham side piled up 342 upfront, with opener Graham Clark and captain Scott Borthwick striking swift 80s in the process. Notably, young Surrey pacer Sonny Baker still picked up six wickets in the innings, all while conceding just 46 runs off his 10 overs.

Somerset batters put up a fight, largely because of captain Ben Green’s rebellious 84-ball 157 in the run-chase. However, the home side still fell nine runs short in a thrilling final over of the match.

Brief scores:

Durham: 342 (49.2)
Scott Borthwick 88 (67), Graham Clark 86 (101);
Sonny Baker 6-46, Ben Green 2-82

Somerset: 333 (49.2)
Ben Green 157 (84), George Bartlett 34 (40);
Oliver Gibson 3-54, Chris Rushworth 3-58

Durham won by nine runs
