Vaibhav Suryavanshi's IPL journey with the Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2025 season was historic from the very beginning. Even before playing a match, he became the youngest player ever to be shortlisted and signed at an IPL auction, at just 13 years of age.
Youngest IPL Debutant and Centurion
- Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his IPL debut at 14 years and 32 days, becoming the youngest player in IPL history. He broke the the previous record held by Prayas Ray Barman (16 years, 157 days in 2019 for RCB).
Fastest century by an Indian in IPL history
- One of the most talked-about moments of IPL 2025 came when Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a breathtaking century against the Gujarat Titans. He reached his hundred in just 35 balls, becoming the fastest Indian to score an IPL century.
- Overall, it was the second-fastest century in IPL history, only behind Chris Gayle's 30-ball hundred in 2013. This knock also became the fastest IPL century for the Rajasthan Royals.
Explosive power-hitting records in IPL 2025
- During his century, Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit 11 sixes, equalling Murali Vijay’s record for the most sixes by an Indian in a single IPL innings.
- It also became the most sixes ever hit by a Rajasthan Royals batter, surpassing Sanju Samson’s previous best of 10.
- An incredible 93% of his runs came in boundaries, setting a new record for the highest boundary percentage in an IPL century. Out of 101 runs, 94 came from fours and sixes, showing his unmatched attacking intent.
Fastest Fifty and Other Milestones
- Suryavanshi reached his half-century in just 17 balls, making it the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, the second-fastest for Rajasthan Royals, and the fastest by an uncapped Indian player. He also became the youngest player to score an IPL fifty.
- The Bihar player was part of a massive 166-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, which became the highest partnership ever for the Rajasthan Royals.

Youngest List A centurion in the World
- At just 14 years and 272 days, Suryavanshi became the youngest player in history to score a century in men's List A cricket. He made a sensational 190 runs off just 84 balls against Arunachal Pradesh.
Suryavanshi records 4th fastest century in List-A cricket by an Indian
- Vaibhav Suryavanshi reached his century in 36 balls, making it the fourth-fastest List A century by an Indian. He also smashed the fastest 150 in List A history, reaching the landmark in just 59 balls.
Most runs through boundaries in a List-A match
- Suryavanshi hit 15 sixes, becoming the joint holder of the record for most sixes by an Indian. An astonishing 154 of his 190 runs came in boundaries, placing him among legends like Rohit Sharma and Martin Guptill for most boundary runs in a List A match.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's score of 190 became the highest individual score in Bihar's Vijay Hazare Trophy history.

U-19 Asia Cup records
- In the 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup, he smashed 20 sixes, the most by any player in a single edition of the tournament. He also registered the third-highest score for India in Youth ODIs, blasting 171 runs against the UAE, which included 14 sixes.
Fastest youth ODI century
- Against England Under-19 in July 2025, Suryavanshi scored the fastest century in Youth ODI history, reaching the landmark in just 52 balls.
Youngest to score century in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
- In December 2025, he became the youngest player to score a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, finishing unbeaten on 108.
