Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old RR player is all set to become the youngest debutant in the history of the IPL. Sanju Samson is out of the game against LSG due to a rib injury, and in his place, Vaibhav Suryavanshi will open for RR as mentioned by Riyan Parag at the toss.
He will come in as an Impact Player in the second half, as RR are batting second. RCB's Prayash Rai Barman held the record when he debuted at the age of 16 years against SRH in IPL 2019. The third in the list is Mujeeb Ur Rahman who debuted for Punjab Kings at the age of just 17.
Rajasthan Royals' current captain, Riyan Parag also made his debut at the age of 17 years. However, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was 17 years and 11 days old while Riyan Parag was 17 years and 152 days old, which makes him fourth in the list. He made his debut IPL 2019 while Pradeep Sangwan, the DD bowler debuted at the age of 17 years and 179 days in IPL 2008.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was bought for 1.1 Crore in IPL 2025 auction, and is a left-handed opener who is known for his power-hitting. He had a fruitul U19 Asia Cup recently, and has played across formats for Bihar in domestic cricket.
