Afghanistan team has departed for the three-match ODI series against Netherlands in Qatar. The fixtures are part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and will be played between 21-25 January.
“Afghanistan National Cricket Team departs for Qatar to feature in a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands. The three ODIs which are scheduled to be held from 21st -25th January, are part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, which counts towards qualification for the ICC Men’s CWC 2023,” ACB said in a statement.
The Afghanistan team will have a two-week-long preparation camp before the beginning of the series.
“All eyes are on direct qualification to the Cricket World Cup in 2023,” ACB Chairman, Mirwais Ashraf said. “ACB is committed to providing all the facilities that the team needs,” he added.
While the series begins on January 21, 2022 in Doha, the second and third match will be payed on January 23 and 25 respectively at the same venue.
