The WTC final 2023 is all set to be played at the Oval from 7th of June with India and Australia going head-to-head for the ultimate glory. Both the sides have some quality performers and it promises to be one cracking encounter. India have also enjoyed an upper hand against Australia in recent times but they need to be at their best in English conditions against a quality Aussie pace attack which will be eager to unleash.

India also is leaving no stones unturned before the final and we are seeing Indian players sweating it out in intense practice sessions. Two notable names in those practice sessions are Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has joined the Indian team for the first time while SKY was also part of the Indian squad in recently held India-Australia series. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been seen practicing with Kohli and is looking in good touch in the nets while Suryakumar Yadav is also looking pretty confident after a successful IPL 2023. However, both of them in all likelihood will not play in the WTC final and let's see the reason for it now.

Why Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav Can't Play in 2023 WTC Final?

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav both are in the standbys list of Indian squad and are not in the designated 15-member squad. Along with them, Mukesh Kumar is also a standby and unless there is an injury to someone from the 15-member squad, these players are likely to stay in the standby list.

So, unless a player is in the original 15-member squad, he is not eligible to play in the WTC final and that's why Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav can't play in the XI of the WTC final.
