In a significant development, the IPL 2025 is all set to resume in mid May after being suspended for a week due to the ongoing border conflict between India and Pakistan. If reports are to be believed, the BCCI has also asked the teams to assemble their overseas contingent for the remainder of the tournament by this Tuesday.

Head, Cummins And Co Unlikely To Return For IPL 2025: Report

Meanwhile, a report by The West Australian has claimed that several Australian players are unlikely to return for the remainder of IPL 2025 in India. It's worth mentioning that the Australian players flew back to their home after the situation at the India-Pakistan border escalated, with both parties getting involved in an intense military conflict.

The Indian Government declared complete blackout in the Northern states close to the international border. The PBKS vs DC game was called off midway during the game, with the players from both sides travelling to Delhi through the Vande Bharat Express.

Following the incident, the Australian players were safely taken back to their respective countries, and as the report states, some of them might not come back to India for the remaining matches.

It has been reported that players whose teams are on the brink of elimination, might not return to India. In such a scenario, Travis Head, Pat Cummins and Nathan Ellis could miss the remaining matches for their respective IPL teams.

Head and Cummins represent Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the tournament, while Ellis is a part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL. These two teams were the two worst sides in IPL 2025, occupying the bottom positions in the ten-team standings.
