At Ahmedabad on Friday, Mumbai Indians' captain Rohit Sharma won an important toss, putting the Gujarat Titans to bat first on a pitch that might play tricky initially after rain pelting down earlier in the evening.

While talking to former Ravi Shastri at the toss before Qualifier 2 against GT, the MI skipper stated MI as a team look to adapt to different conditions after the former Indian coach remarked that they would have put the pitch out of contention at the stage of the competition.

"It is about comfort zones. We as a team looking to adapt to different conditions. Here it is a different track and there in Chennai, it was bat first pitch. We have plenty of new guys and fresh faces who are doing good for the team," Rohit said at toss time.

Meanwhile, Mumbai have made just one change for the much-anticipated clash replacing Kumar Kartikeya for Hrithik Shokeen. Gujarat, on the flip side, have made two changes as Josh Little has been brought for Dasun Shanaka and Sai Sudharsan has replaced Darshan Nalkande.

Nevertheless, the game carries vast importance as the winner of the clash would book the ticket to play Chennai Super Kings on Sunday in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
