In a massive positive step towards the resumption of IPL 2025, Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans have started training at their home ground, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The development has been shared by a TOI report, and it is a clear sign that the 18th edition of IPL might resume soon.

"Yes, we have started training. The boys looked sharp, and we are ready to go," a GT Official told TOI according to the report from Pratyush Raj.

Jos Buttler And Gerald Coetzee Absent From GT Squad

The report also states that all the members of GT squad are in India, except Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee. There is no confirmation on the availability of these two overseas stars for the remainder of the season. It has also been learnt that BCCI and IPL Governing Council officials have asked all IPL franchises to assemble their squad and get ready for the resumption of the IPL.

The development comes after the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan on May 10. However, the situation is not completely normal, and the games could be limited to three or four venues according to various reports.

Gujarat Titans are currently at the top of the table with 16 points in 11 matches, and look set to qualify for the playoffs. In total, 16 matches are left in IPL 2025, which includes 12 league games and four playoff encounters.

The IPL 2025 was suspended for a week on May 9 because of conflict between India and Pakistan. Since then, BCCI  and other IPL Governing Council officials are taking required steps to get things back on track and the final decision is expected soon.
