'We Aren't Relaxed', Says Hardik Pandya Before Blockbuster Tie Against CSK

In the first Qualifier tie of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans (GT) won the toss at Chennai Super Kings (CSK)'s den of Chepauk. The defending champions didn't make a lot of changes for the blockbuster clash, but skipper Pandya did tell how his team has been preparing for this clash.

After winning the toss at Chennai, the GT skipper said that he and his side haven't taken a breath of relief even after knowing they have qualified as one of the top two sides in the points table.

Furthermore, the stylish all-rounder mentioned what has been Gujarat's secret recipe in this edition.


Here's what Hardik said:

"Someone told us to relax once we were sure of the top two finishing, but we didn't want to. We wanted to stay focused and play good cricket. We are a smart team and play smart cricket. We have adapted to many conditions and played clever cricket to get success away from home."

Meanwhile, for Qualifier 1, the reigning champions have just made one change to their starting XI as Darshan Nalkande - who played two matches last year - has replaced Yash Dayal. Chennai, on the flip side, have decided to go unchanged in this clash.
