The Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir love story has reached a newer height in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The two former Indian captains have indulged in a few embarrassing tussles, dividing the cricketing fraternity and the fans into two halves. And since then, these Indian veterans and their respective IPL teams have been getting mocked wherever they travel this season.

The whole drama began when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) first met in the IPL 2023; when the game went down to the wire, but Lucknow won it on the last ball by one wicket, which saw the visiting mentor silence the crowd at Chinnaswamy.

That incident pressed a nerve, and when RCB's Kohli visited Lucknow, he didn't let Gambhir and the Super Giants forget what they did in Bangalore. In the whole episode, Kohli got animated with Naveen-ul-Haq and Amit Mishra, after which the Afghan seamer and mentor were furious against the RCB legend.

Since then, Kohli's admirers have heavily mocked the LSG duo. Recently, during LSG's clash in Kolkata, the crowd at Eden Gardens was seen taking a jib when the pacer came out to bowl. Later, when Lucknow defeated Kolkata Knight Riders to confirm their qualification, Gambhir reacted to the chants of 'Kohli, Kohli'.

Here's what Gambhir did:

Gambhir, who won two IPL trophies with Kolkata, has got a huge fanbase in Kolkata. However, true to his nature, the former opener didn't let the crowd get under Naveen's skin by standing up against the trolls.

Nevertheless, Krunal Pandya-led LSG became the third to qualify for the playoffs, but whether they will play Mumbai, Bangalore or Rajasthan in Eliminator is still to be determined.
