As expected, the young fast-bowling sensation from Sri Lanka, Matheesha Pathirana, has been brought in as an impact player by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the rest of the game as a replacement to batter Shivam Dube.

Pathirana has been the go-to man for CSK during the death overs as he has bagged 13 wickets in eight innings at an economy under 8. His valuable accuracy would be quite a necessity for CSK as they will be defending a low total of 144 on a slow wicket.

Super Kings' innings was in shambles after the completion of eleven overs as they lost their fifth wicket for 72. Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja batted till the final over with the former striking 48 runs whereas Jadeja played a scratchy knock of 20 runs from 24 balls.

Meanwhile, Dube has been in fine form with 363 runs in 11 matches as he averages above 40 while striking at a rate of 157. Being a vital asset for the side, he has bailed them out of trouble on multiple occasions.

By the time of writing, KKR were 22 for two after the completion of three overs.
