Batting against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) needed a momentous effort to push the side above 150. Big-hitter Shivam Dube was keeping the hopes alive but the senior pro-Ravindra Jadeja did some damage to his side by playing a slow knock.

Coming in at seven when CSK were in a spot of bother with five down for 72 in 11 overs. Both the batters tried to revive the innings as they defended against the spinners and tried scoring some occasional boundaries but unfortunately, it didn't come off for the left-arm spinner as he only managed 20 runs from 24 balls with the home side posting 144 by the end of their overs.

The Twitterati didn't seem pleased with the effort as they felt he didn't help CSK and Dube's cause.

The pitch has turned quite a bit after the first few overs which indicates that chasing for KKR won't be an easy task as they face the spin trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana.

By the time of writing, KKR were 22 for two down after the completion of three overs.
