Gujarat Titans will go head-to-head against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Monday, May 15, at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

While Gujarat Titans have enjoyed a successful run in the tournament, winning eight of their 12 matches and currently sitting at the top of the points table, Sunrisers Hyderabad have struggled to find their form and are currently languishing at the bottom of the table with just four wins from their 11 matches.

The stakes are high for both teams in this match. A victory for Gujarat Titans will secure their place in the playoffs this season, while a defeat for Sunrisers Hyderabad will see them officially eliminated from the tournament.

All in all, the stage is set for another exhilarating T20 contest at Ahmedabad. But before the action gets underway, let's take a look at the predicted playing XI for each side:

Gujarat Titans Predicted Playing XI

Openers: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill

Gujarat Titans will continue with their tried-and-tested opening combination of Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. Gill has a brilliant track record at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, having played some memorable innings in various formats, including this season of the IPL. He is currently the highest run-scorer for the team, with 475 runs in 12 matches, at a strike rate of above 140.

Meanwhile, Saha has also shown his class, especially in the last game against Lucknow Super Giants at the same venue, where he played a fantastic knock of 81 runs off just 43 balls. The team will be counting on both of these players to get off to a good start once again.

Middle Order: Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia

The team's middle order looks solid, featuring some star T20 batters like Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Abhinav Manohar, and Vijay Shankar. They have all played match-winning knocks in the past and have the ability to turn the game on its head.

Although a few of them failed to make a significant contribution with the bat in the previous game against Mumbai Indians, it was just a blip, and they will be eager to bounce back stronger in this match.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmad, and Mohammed Shami

With Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Rashid Khan, and Mohit Sharma in their ranks, Gujarat Titans possess one of the most formidable and balanced bowling attacks in the league.

Rashid Khan, in particular, has been in sublime form with both bat and ball, having scored an unbeaten 79 off just 32 balls in his last innings and taken 23 wickets in the tournament so far - the highest by any bowler.

Predicted Playing XI of Gujarat Titans: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmad, and Mohammed Shami.

Impact Players: KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, R Sai Kishore, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Predicted Playing XI

Openers: Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad will rely on Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh to provide a solid start at the top of the order. Abhishek Sharma has been in great form with the bat this season, accumulating 210 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of over 150. Along with Anmolpreet Singh, he will be looking to lay a solid foundation for their team.

Middle Order: Rahul Tripathi, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Aiden Markram, Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad

On paper, Sunrisers Hyderabad's middle order looks formidable with the likes of Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, and Abdul Samad, but the reality is that they have struggled to live up to their reputations. The only player who has consistently performed in the middle order is Heinrich Klaasen, the South African batter who has scored 262 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of around 180.

Bowlers: T Natarajan, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Fazalhaq Farooqi

T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Mayank Markande form the core of Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowling attack. While they have struggled to keep the opposition's scoring in check, Mayank Markande has been a bright spot for them with his consistent wicket-taking ability.

Markande has picked up 12 wickets in nine matches at an economy rate of 7.80, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken eight wickets in 11 appearances at an economy rate of roughly eight. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be counting on both of them to lead the charge with their impressive bowling performances.

Predicted Playing XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad: Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Aiden Markram (c), Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad, T Natarajan, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Fazalhaq Farooqi

Impact Players: Vivrant Sharma, Sanvir Singh, Mayank Dagar, Nitish Reddy, Marco Jansen.
