'No Hit Sharma..', Former WC Winner Mocks Rohit Sharma Following His Failure vs CSK

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been struggling with poor batting form in the IPL 2023. After providing his side with some brisk starts early in the tournament, the Indian captain has failed to breach the two-figure mark in four consecutive outings. Furthermore, his plan to demote himself to number three against CSK didn't work, as he was dismissed for a three-ball duck by Deepak Chahar.

Notably, Rohit got out after miscuing a scoop shot when MI were reeling at 13 for two. So, following his fourth consecutive failure with the bat, legendary former Indian opener Kris Srikkanth took a cheeky dig at him, calling him 'no hit sharma' in the commentary box.

Regarded for his straightforward opinions, Srikkanth didn't hesitate to say that he wouldn't even keep the veteran batter in the playing XI if he was MI's captain.

Here's what Srikkanth said

"Rohit Sharma should change his name to ‘NO HIT SHARMA’, I will not even play him in XI if I was Captain of MI."

Despite being fairly consistent in the longer formats, Rohit has recently suffered a slump in the shortest format, managing only 184 runs in the IPL 2023 at a horrendous average of 18.40.

His poor form has taken a toll on Mumbai Indians, who languish at the sixth position in the points table and will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mumbai on Tuesday.
