Mamata Banerjee Expresses Delight Over KKR's Win Against RCB

The Kolkata Knight Riders produced an exhilarating performance against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) on Thursday, to clinch their first home win of the season. The IPL returned to the iconic Eden Gardens after 2019, which made the evening even more special. In attendance were KKR co-owners Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.

Put into bat, KKR managed 203 runs, thanks to the fifties from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Shardul Thakur, and a solid 46 from Rinku Singh.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is an avid cricket fan, and a massive supporter of KKR, took to social media site Twitter, to express her delight over the franchise's win over RCB.

With one win and one loss so far in IPL 2023, KKR will travel to Ahmedabad for their second away match against last season's winner Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
