After a disappointing performance in the first Test against India, Australia will look to turn things around in the second Test, set to be played on February 17 in Delhi.

They will need to reassess their strategies, especially against spin. However, the return of their star pacer Mitchell Starc, who was sidelined due to a finger injury, could boost the team.

Meanwhile, Scott Boland, Australia's latest pace sensation, addressed the spin challenge they will encounter in the upcoming Test against India.

Boland acknowledged that their batters have been working hard to tackle spin, but since there are no bowlers to bowl like Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin in the nets, they might have to reassess their preparation.

Here's what Boland stated

"As the batters, a lot of guys have been doing a lot of training, on facing spin and a lot of work like that. But there's no net bowler that bowls like or as good as Jadeja and Ashwin. So, yeah I think if we recommit to our plans again, I think everyone had good plans going for from the start of the series and I don't think any of that needs to change,

"I think if we can just double-down on them and probably be really brave, maybe take the odd risk against the spinners and try and put a bit of pressure back on them and hopefully that can work for us going forward."

Continuing, the Victorian pacer stated that he expects similar kind of spin-friendly tracks in the remaining matches of the series.

"I assume all the wickets going to be pretty similar, not sure they are going to give us any pace through the middle of the wicket. That was the same in Sri Lanka last year, I think they rolled the middle of the wickets, so flat that there is no pace in for our quick bowlers."

Earlier, Australia's captain, Pat Cummins, confirmed that Mitchell Starc is expected to be in contention for selection for the second Test. However, there are uncertainties surrounding the availability of Cameron Green and Josh Hazlewood.

The Australian team suffered a crushing defeat in the first Test as the hosts beat thrashed them by an inning and 132 runs in just two and a half days in Nagpur. They would be looking to bounce back stronger in Delhi Test.
