ILT20: Rashid Khan joins MI Emirates before crucial Eliminator match

Right before the big Eliminator clash between MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals in the International League T20, Afghanistan's T20 skipper Rashid Khan has joined the MI side. 

Khan was previously captaining the Mumbai Indians' sister franchise MI Cape Town in the SA20 League where they finished last and will represent their other side in UAE.

Emirates finished third on the points table after the end of the group stage winning five out of their ten games. Led by West Indies' Kieron Pollard, the side are filled up with the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Bravo, Trent Boult and Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Meanwhile, Khan's Cape Town won just three matches out of their ten. At one stage, they had two victories in three matches, however, after that lost their momentum and tanked completely.

The leg-spinner played 10 matches and bagged nine wickets while bowling at an economy of 6.92. With the bat, he was disappointing scoring just 52 runs in six innings.

Emirates will look to push for final hurdle when they face Dubai Capitals in the Eliminator as the winner of this encounter will be facing Gulf Giants in qualifier 2.
