After Virat Kohli’s return to the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the star batter played a masterful knock against Andhra in the opening round of the tournament. However, after a brilliant 29-ball half-century in round two against Gujarat, Virat Kohli’s innings was cut short by Vishal Jayswal, who bamboozled the veteran and had him stumped.

However, in a heartwarming gesture from the ‘King’, Kohli met Vishal Jayswal after the match and signed a ball for him as a memento. The gesture made Jayswal’s day, as he took to his Instagram to post the autographed ball.

Taking to his Instagram account, Vishal Jayswal shared a picture with Virat Kohli beside him and also shared the video of the delivery that left Kohli bamboozled and had him stumped.

Notably, Virat Kohli showed signs of struggling against the Gujarat bowler. While he dominated every other bowler on the field with his 77-run knock, Jayswal kept Kohli under check and gave away just five runs from the 12 deliveries he bowled to him.

Overall, Jayswal was gritty with the ball. He took four wickets from his 10 overs while giving away 42 runs. Other than Kohli, he sent back Arpit Rana, Nitish Rana and Rishabh Pant in the match.

From Delhi’s side in the match, Virat Kohli was the top scorer, while skipper Rishabh Pant followed with 70 runs. Harsh Tyagi also contributed 40 runs, helping Delhi post a total of 254 on the board.

Gujarat began the chase on a positive note, with Aarya Desai and Urvil Patel getting the innings going. However, they lost three wickets at 125, which triggered a collapse.

Wickets fell at regular intervals as Gujarat slipped to 7 for 247. Ultimately, Ishant Sharma, Prince Yadav and Arpit Rana kept the Gujarat batters in check, bundling them out for 247 and sealing a seven-run win.
