Tom Banton labels Chris Lynn as one of the best T20 players in the world

Young England batter Tom Banton has labeled Australia's Chris Lynn as "one of the best players" in the shortest version of the game.

The highest run-scorer in the history of the Big Bash League, Lynn is undoubtedly one of the most explosive batters of the 20-over format. 

He has featured in major T20 leagues around the globe, which suggests that he has plenty of T20 experience. The right-handed batter will play his trade for Gulf Giants' in the new International League T20.

Gulf Giants' Banton, who has shared the dressing room with Lynn during the 2019-20 BBL season, will reunite with the fearsome striker in UAE.

"Yeah, it's awesome. I was quite young when I went to Brisbane, so it was quite cool. He is one of the best players in the world in this format, so we obviously built a relationship and we did quite well when we played together, which is nice," Tom Banton as quoted by Sportskeeda.

It is expected that Banton and Lynn will open for Gulf Giants in the first-ever edition of the ILT20.

The inaugural season of UAE's ILT20 is all set to kick start on January 13, 2023, with six teams and 34 matches to be played, across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.
