It's a joke: David Warner ridicules England's 'Bazball'

While the revolutionary "Bazball" led by English captain and coach duo of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum has earned plaudits from many across the globe, there are some who have not bought the idea as yet.

One of them is rival team Australia's opening batter David Warner who has dismissed the new movement, calling it a joke. The left-hander mentioned that their head coach Andrew McDonald isn't really a fan of it.

"Guys just keep joking about it – I think Ronnie [head coach Andrew McDonald] has had enough of hearing about Bazball to be honest, it's good fun to joke about,"

Further, he reminded them that their so-called 'Bazball' was beaten by South Africa in one of the Tests earlier this summer.

"Bazball didn't work that Test,"

Instead, the 36-year-old came up with his own term calling Australia's brand of cricket as 'Ronball' (Ronnie-Andrew McDonald's nickname). With Ashes 2023 lined up in the calendar, Warner has challenged the Three Lions to come up and play against their solid line-up.

"I haven't really taken much notice of it. But I don't know if you guys know, we've got Ron Ball. We've been talking about Ron Ball, so it's gonna be interesting this summer to see how that goes."

Warner will be representing Sydney Thunder in the upcoming Big Bash League while currently being part of Australia's side against West Indies.
