After India crashed out of the T20 World Cup at the hands of England, many experts reckoned that Indian cricketers should be allowed to play in foreign leagues to get more experience.

This is just what England did and they are now reaping the reward. In-fact, 10 out of 11 players who took the field against India have prior experience of playing in the Big Bash League and it showed in the way they tackled the Indian side.

Alex Hales, who has played so much cricket in Australia, reckons that it's a 'shame' that the Indian players are not allowed to play in foreign leagues.

What Hales has to say?

"It's a shame that the Indian guys don't get a chance to play in different leagues. It would be good for everyone, it would benefit them and the league to have the best players in the world playing.

Anytime you get a chance to play in foreign conditions makes you a better cricketer and makes you understand those conditions. Hopefully going forward, they get a chance to play in different leagues. It has certainly helped me, for sure," Hales said post the India-England game.

Even India head coach Rahul Dravid was asked the same question, and he stated that the timings of the BBL clashes with the domestic season.

It would be interesting to see whether the BCCI takes a U-turn and allows their players to participate in the foreign leagues in the near future.
