All eyes will be on the Indian team as the T20 World Cup is right around the corner. The eighth edition of the multi national tournament which will be held in Australia and is slated to begin from October 16 (group stage round).

Rohit Sharma and co will be looking to make a mark after a poor performance last time around where India were ousted from the tournament in the group stage itself. India did have a dominant run in the shortest format of the game this year but were given a harsh reality check in the Asia Cup where they couldn't proceed beyond the super fours stage.

One of India's major concerns in the recent times has been the pace department, which has been very ineffective at the death lately. Given this issue, a lot of critics felt the snubbing of premier pacer Mohammed Shami from the squad was unjust.

Sreesanth's take on Shami's exclusion

Former Indian pacer S Sreesanth feels that the 32-year-old can be a bit more flexible.

“If Shami has missed out, I genuinely hope he works on his fitness and comes back strong. It’s a T20 World Cup, not a fifty-over (World Cup) or Test cricket.

Shami is fit, but he can be much more flexible. He adds a lot of dimension (to the team), but I genuinely want him to be more fit," he added.
