Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli and star Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga have been handsomely rewarded for their clinical Asia Cup outings, making giant strides in the updated ICC men's T20I player rankings.

Kohli, the second-highest run-getter of Asia Cup 2022, has moved up fourteen places to no 15 on the batters' list, while Hasaranga, the second most successful bowler in the event, has jumped up three places to sixth on the bowler rankings.

In another notable event, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has dethroned Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi to become the new No.1 ranked T20I all-rounder. Nabi returned abysmal figures in the Asia Cup, scalping just three wickets and scoring mere 16 runs in five matches.

On the other hand, an ordinary Asia Cup campaign has led to Babar Azam's demotion in the rankings. Babar, who managed only 68 runs at a mediocre average of 11.33, has fallen to number three, with South Africa's Aiden Markram replacing him at the second position.

On the list for T20I bowlers, veteran Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (up four spots to seventh) and Pakistan duo Haris Rauf (up nine places to equal 25th) and Mohammad Nawaz (up seven spots to 34th) were among the biggest movers after impressive outings in the Asia Cup.
